According to Anatoliy Sirenko, Head of the State Automobile Inspection Department, the increase of the speed limit to 80 km/h, introduced on some road sections in Kyiv, is planned to be implemented in other Ukrainian cities as well. At the moment, new limits are already in effect on two roads in Dnipropetrovsk, with Donetsk next in line.
Sirenko also reported that the first stage of implementing new restrictions in Kyiv has been completed. The second stage is expected to be finished within the next two weeks.
As we have already written, on April 1st, signs allowing 80 km/h appeared in Kyiv (and it turned out not to be a joke).
