Such license plates on the domestic hatchback are not accidental: as it became known, the Tavria came straight from Germany. The car belongs to the married couple Iryna Denis and Bernd Hartmann from the town of Hahnenbach, Rhineland-Palatinate.

Iryna is Ukrainian, and Bernd is German. The couple met in 2007 at a rally in Ukraine, and in 2009 they got married. After that, Iryna moved to Germany to live with her husband.
Interestingly, the Tavria is not the only ZAZ in the couple's garage. They also have a classic Zaporozhets – ZAZ-968 – which they take out exclusively for special events. The hatchback 1102 itself is painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag (blue and yellow), and the plates are styled in a similar spirit – in particular, they contain a number that references the year Ukraine gained independence.
On the Tavria, Iryna and Bernd actively participate in various festivals and shows.

It is worth noting that the gathering of ZAZ owners in the capital was organized by the Old Car Service technical classics club. This same organization is the organizer of the well-known large-scale technology festival Old Car Land, which takes place in Kyiv twice a year (in spring and autumn).
By the way, have you already read that Ukraine has launched small-scale production of electric Tavrias?
