The Porsche 917 is truly a legendary model, because it brought the brand its first two victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as triumphing in many other iconic competitions. Incidentally, its development was led by Ferdinand Piëch, who is also considered the father of the Bugatti Veyron.

For its time, the Porsche 917 sports car was fantastic, and it still impresses today. The coupe, weighing just 840 kg, was equipped with a 4.5-liter air-cooled flat-12 engine. It developed 580 hp and allowed acceleration to 340 km/h.

Specifically, this car in the short-tail Kurzheck version was involved in an accident at Le Mans in 1970, but was then restored and participated in races until 1974. In addition, this very car was used by Steve McQueen during the filming of the movie "Le Mans".
