The head of the yacht captains school Pavlo Nepsha, who also heads a charitable foundation, reports that over the past year, 150 pickup trucks were purchased with the collected funds for the military. However, now each such vehicle is extremely expensive — both the purchase itself and its repair, as the market choice is extremely limited.

Ukrainian sailing enthusiasts rallied immediately after the start of the full-scale russian invasion. Their goal was simple — to bring Victory closer. So already in the first days of March, captains and skippers began purchasing and transporting vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Pavlo, who heads the yacht captains school Marinero, during the year of war, yachtsmen managed to bring and hand over 150 pickup trucks to the military:

"In the first months of the war, volunteers and resellers took almost all suitable cars out of Europe and switched to Britain. We started doing this back in March last year and watched the entire dynamics of this 'market'. It seems that soon we will have to bring piles of rusty iron, wheels, and cow dung with funny stickers from British 'rednecks'. But thanks to our mechanics, who can put these wrecks on wheels and send them where they are now desperately needed," complains the yachtsman, who back in 2014 created the charitable foundation "Territory of Life".

The volunteer also expresses gratitude to Ukrainians and Poles living in Britain for not giving up and continuing to find cars for us, despite the difficulties in finding worthy options.
