The sculpture is made from 1,079 seat belt locks that conscientious drivers handed in at the network's gas stations across Ukraine as part of the "Hand in the lock – choose life"* campaign.
Now you can see the unusual sculpture made of locks at the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv (Stepan Bandera Avenue, 26B). Later, the chair will continue its journey to other cities of Ukraine, where it will remind the public of the importance of following road safety rules.
"When the campaign just started, we planned to simply dispose of the collected locks. Later we realized that the example of drivers who took part in the campaign would help save more than one life. That's how the idea was born to create an art object and send it on a tour across the country. We are grateful to state authorities who supported our initiative and joined the project. I hope that through joint efforts we will be able to reduce the number of road accidents in Ukraine," says Yaroslava Polyakova, head of the corporate communications department of the OKKO gas station network.

The first day of the exhibition of the creative car seat was accompanied by a campaign for all visitors of the MIA service center: everyone who took a photo sitting in the chair with a seat belt fastened and posted it on social media with the hashtag #благаюживи* received a useful driver's kit from OKKO: reflective vests and stickers.
"Such a chair makes you think once again about how important it is to use seat belts. The location of the chair is also very appropriate – so even more drivers will pay attention to this issue and, like me, will always buckle up while driving," shares her impressions Anna, a driver with seven years of experience and a participant in the campaign.
Let us remind you that the project "I beg you, buckle up", within which the campaign "Hand in the lock – choose life" took place, started with a call to use seat belts and child car seats in November 2017. Over 6 months, 12 trainings were held in various regions of Ukraine on the topic of safe car travel with children, attended by about 1,000 young parents who are clients of the OKKO gas station network, education workers, police and medical workers. In addition to the campaign to collect locks, the company also launched a series of educational videos about the specifics of using child car seats, held activations on social media and raffled off 80 certificates for the purchase of child car seats.
