From the very beginning of the project, through the main character "Blahunchyk", the company called on the public to follow traffic rules and make themselves visible in the dark. The goal of this year's project is to draw the attention of drivers across the country to the need for constant use of seat belts and child car seats.

In 70% of accidents, seat belts save the lives of those involved in road traffic accidents. At the same time, less than 15% of drivers in Ukraine regularly use seat belts. This is one of the reasons why the death rate in road accidents in Ukraine is still 3-4 times higher than in most European countries.
Starting in November, the OKKO network, together with the public organization "Traffic Challenge", plans to conduct a series of trainings in 10 regions of Ukraine, where they will explain how to best choose a car seat for a child, securely and correctly install it, minimize risks to life and health, and how to provide first aid in the event of an accident. The first training took place on November 12 in Kyiv. The next such events will be held in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Khmelnytskyi. Drivers who are parents, volunteers, teachers, social workers, medical professionals, police representatives, driving schools, and media are invited to participate in the trainings.

"Every day, OKKO gas stations serve hundreds of thousands of drivers. As a socially responsible company, we see the need to improve driving culture and road safety levels," says Dmytro Rasskazov, Vice President of the OKKO gas station network. "Since three out of four causes of road accidents are behavioral, we sincerely believe that together with the 'Blahunchyks' we can reduce road injuries. We strive to convince drivers that even simple things often help save a human life."

In addition to trainings for responsible parents within the project "I beg you, buckle up!", the OKKO network will hold a number of other motivating informational events over the course of six months. Their main goal is to build an unconditional understanding of basic road safety rules: "Get in the car – buckle up", "Traveling with a child – use a car seat". Among such events, there will also be a non-standard campaign aimed at reducing the use of "dummy buckles" and activations during which network customers will be able to receive child car seats for free.
