The OKKO filling station network and the Tabletochki Charitable Foundation have decided that children's dreams of living, being healthy and happy will come true faster if each of us does a simple, familiar thing. To do this, it is enough to take part in the joint charity campaign “Christmas Coffee – Your Good Deed”, which will run from December 1 to December 31 at OKKO filling stations. The funds collected during the campaign will be used to purchase medicines for the foundation's beneficiaries who are being treated at the country's children's oncology centers.
According to the terms of the campaign, every OKKO customer can do a good deed by simply purchasing any hot drink from 6:00 to 11:00 a.m. during December at one of the network's 400 filling stations. 1 hryvnia from the cost of each drink will be transferred to the Tabletochki Charitable Foundation, which cares for children with cancer. And if an OKKO guest also pays with a Mastercard, the amount of deductions will increase to 2 hryvnias. So, while enjoying your favorite coffee or aromatic tea, you can give little children a piece of warmth and faith in a bright future.

All collected funds will go towards the purchase of the drug “Vancomycin” – a strong antibiotic needed by about 30% of children with cancer in Ukraine. These are quite expensive medicines that are purchased abroad and whose purchase is not compensated by the state. Today, about 700 children in Ukraine use this drug, and about half of them seek help from the Tabletochki Charitable Foundation. The initiators of the “Christmas Coffee – Your Good Deed” campaign hope that thanks to the compassion of Ukrainians, during December it will be possible to collect an amount sufficient to purchase a supply of Vancomycin for these children for the entire next year.
“In developed countries, more than 80% of children recover from cancer, while in Ukraine – only 50%. The main reason is the lack of necessary medicines for children in hospitals here and now. Parents and benefactors are forced to urgently search for medicines on their own, losing precious time. Thanks to the help of our partner, we will be able to ensure a constant supply of the necessary antibiotic for children, and thus increase their chances of recovery,” says Iryna Lytovchenko, co-founder of the Tabletochki Foundation.

The OKKO network has repeatedly joined campaigns organized by the Tabletochki Charitable Foundation, understanding that every hryvnia of help is an additional chance for a child to recover. In particular, the company supported initiatives such as International Childhood Cancer Day and the charity flash mob “Lemonade Day”, donating part of the proceeds from coffee and refreshing drinks to the foundation. In June, the company held a charity fair where sweets and artistic products made by OKKO employees by hand, as well as souvenir products from Tabletochki, were sold. All proceeds were also transferred to help children with cancer. Currently, OKKO filling stations sell the book “The Hat and the Whale” by Kateryna Babkina – from the sale of each copy, 5 hryvnias are transferred to the Tabletochki Foundation.
“Cooperating with the Tabletochki Foundation in caring for children with cancer, we focus not only on the financial but also on the emotional result. It is important for us that during this pre-holiday time as many people as possible feel like benefactors, making their contribution to a big, important, good cause,” comments Oleksandr Sheveliev, head of communications at the OKKO filling station network. – We tell both our employees and guests of our gas stations that perhaps very close by there are children who are now fighting for their health and for whom support and help are extremely important. Compassion and empathy are no less important to them than the amount of funds collected.”
