A team of 16 engineers from Germany worked on the development of these high-tech machines. The lunar rover weighs 30 kilograms and is equipped with a proprietary E-Tron battery that can be charged from sunlight. The drive is provided by four electric motors built directly into the wheels.
The two Lunar Quattro vehicles must cover a distance of at least 500 meters across the lunar surface, after which they will transmit data about the completion of their mission to Earth.
