And immediately, most experts and automotive market officials began discussing how this could affect the cost of cars, and car purchases as such.

Let us remind our readers that back in 2013, the NBU adopted a resolution "On establishing the maximum amount of cash settlements," which limited cash payments. According to the resolution, settlements between individuals and enterprises should not exceed 150 thousand UAH (within one day). The same restriction applies to settlements between individuals under sales contracts that are subject to notarization. Now they want to reduce the limit to 50 thousand UAH per day.

Should the average person worry about this? Most likely not. Theoretically, nothing has changed. If previously this resolution was circumvented when buying a car, what would prevent doing so now?

How did buyers and entrepreneurs circumvent the restrictions before? The most common way to bypass the 150-thousand limit was to pay for the car in installments. Yes, now it will be less convenient than before, but still possible. Just the number of payments will increase. For example, for a car worth 500 thousand UAH, you would need to make 10 payments of 50,000 UAH each.

If the previous option does not suit you, you can open a bank account, deposit the entire amount, and then the bank will transfer the money to the seller via non-cash settlement. Payment by bank card is also possible.

The third option is a bit more complicated, but suitable for those who do not want to "expose" their income: take a loan from a bank and repay it early. In this case, there are no questions about where the money for the purchase came from. The bank gave it as a loan. And how the client repaid the loan, and over what period, usually no one cares. It should be noted that this is a favorite way for civil servants and their close relatives to buy expensive goods.
