The model's debut is planned as part of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is currently called C-BEV and is a prototype of the production Q6. The latter is planned to be launched into production in 2018.

The car will get the latest version of the MLB platform and a fully electric powertrain. It includes three electric motors. Two are located on the rear axle, one in the transmission.

The publication Autocar, citing insiders, released data that the C-BEV will have a power of 500 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The electric motors will be powered by a set of batteries with a capacity of 90 kWh. This should be enough for 500 km.
