The Suzuki Celerio is designed to compete with models such as the Toyota Aygo/Citroen C1/Peugeot 108, Kia Picanto, and Chevrolet Spark. The Japanese see an affordable price while maintaining European quality standards as their main argument in this fight.

To meet these requirements, the car, developed by Japanese engineers, will be assembled in Delhi, including for the European market. For Europe, the list of basic equipment is significantly wider and includes ABS, ESP, six airbags, hill-start assist, and even tire pressure sensors.
All cars are equipped with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 68 hp. Even in the "base" trim, the Celerio comes with a start-stop system, and manual or automated manual transmissions are offered as the gearbox.

The car's advantages include a large trunk with a volume of 254 liters and a very small turning radius (less than 5 meters). In this regard, the Suzuki Celerio is quite comparable to the promising development by Renault and Daimler.
The price of the new model has not yet been announced.
