The most noticeable exterior change is the unique Wave Metallic Blue body color, offered exclusively for the TRD Pro version. The deep blue color harmoniously combines with the massive appearance of the car, the black radiator grille with a large TOYOTA logo, and darkened 18-inch wheels with a redesigned construction designed for off-road use. The price for the 2026 TRD Pro starts at $80,765, which looks slightly more attractive compared to some direct rivals.
However, the key updates happened inside. Now, in any trim level, the third row of seats has power adjustment. In the Limited version, synthetic material has given way to natural leather, available in two finishes: black with white stitching or light gray with dark inserts.
The top Capstone version offers a new Slate interior color scheme with gray tones, decorative elements in gray walnut, brown contrasting details, and textured surfaces reminiscent of stone. The picture is complemented by metal inserts, a soft upper part of the front panel, changed ambient lighting, and a branded JBL audio system. The seat backs feature Capstone embroidery, emphasizing the car's premium status.
The powertrain remains unchanged — it is the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, combining a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor integrated into a 10-speed automatic transmission. Together they produce 437 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque. The average fuel consumption is 10.7 liters per 100 kilometers, which is a quite acceptable result for such a large SUV.
The Sequoia is offered with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The car is based on the modular TNGA-F platform, which is also used by the Tundra, Land Cruiser, and Lexus LX. This design provides increased body rigidity, improved handling, and confident off-road behavior. The TRD versions retain FOX shock absorbers and an expanded list of electronic assistants.
Every trim level in its base equipment receives the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 system, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, as well as an advanced road sign recognition system. The multimedia system with a 14-inch screen has become faster, received support for wireless updates, and overall has become much more convenient in daily use.
Sales of the new Toyota Sequoia on the American market are scheduled for the second half of 2025. The car is assembled at the plant in San Antonio, Texas.
