Yes, one of the most unusual solutions in the new Genesis GV60 turned out to be a crystal ball instead of the usual gear shift lever. The Koreans placed the unique transmission selector in an equally non-standard "floating" center console.

Interestingly, the crystal ball itself is "dynamic": it rotates and glows in different colors depending on driving conditions.

Also, the Genesis GV60 has other interesting features, but they are already found on production electric vehicles (though not often) – these include door handles integrated into the doors, and digital side rear-view mirrors with cameras, the image of which is projected onto a screen in the cabin.

Recall that the Genesis GV60 is the third electric vehicle from the Hyundai concern after the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 crossovers, built on the new E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform). This chassis was created strictly for electric vehicles; the use of internal combustion engines in its design is not provided in principle. One of the advantages of the new architecture is the 800-volt system, which provides fast charging via a 350 kW DC charger. Thanks to it, both batteries (with a capacity of 58 and 73 kWh), which the crossover is equipped with (optional), can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes (that is, in five minutes of connection, the range increases by about 100 kilometers). On a single charge, the car travels about 400 km.
