The new Hyundai Casper is the most compact crossover in the Korean brand's model lineup. The car's dimensions are 3595 mm in length, 1595 mm in width, and 1575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2400 mm. The model is based on the K1 platform, familiar from the Hyundai i10 hatchback.

The smallest Hyundai crossover

The car got its name in honor of a ghost character from a popular cartoon. The main rival of the new product is considered to be Suzuki Ignis. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices, but it is already known that the crossover will be affordable.

The exterior of the Hyundai Casper looks unusual: there is a two-tier front optics, extended wheel arches, and rear door handles hidden in the pillars. In the top trim, branded round air intakes are installed at the front.

At the start of sales, the compact crossover Hyundai Casper will receive exclusively 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines: a naturally aspirated version with 76 hp and a turbocharged one producing 100 hp. They will be paired with a 5-speed manual or a robotic gearbox.

In the future, the appearance of a 1.2-liter unit with an output of 84 hp is not ruled out. It is also announced that by 2023 the lineup will be supplemented by an electric version of the Hyundai Casper.
