Renault 4 is an iconic name both for the brand itself and for the whole world. From 1961 to 1964, Renault produced a small city car under this name, which became a bestseller and one of the best-selling cars of the last century. Moreover, it is the most mass-produced car in the entire history of the French automotive industry. And now the brand is reviving the trademark – for a new electric crossover (though, according to rumors, the name may be slightly "touched up" – to Twingo 4EVer (but that's not certain).

Judging by the photos, the design of the electric Renault 4 will be inspired by the appearance of the original model. In particular, it has a similar front end – the radiator grille and headlight units are placed in a neat oval frame made of chrome, and there are two vertical fangs on the bumper. Similarity is also visible at the rear – the "stern" is characteristically raised, and a small window is installed in the tailgate.

At the same time, the new model is endowed with characteristic attributes of other modern models of the brand (stampings on the doors), arched wheel arches (hello, Duster!) and so on.

The technical characteristics of the Renault 4 Electro have not yet been disclosed; presumably, the new model will be based on the CMF-B platform, and it will be a practical, spacious and relatively cheap electric crossover (priced at about 20,000 euros). The new model will be produced in Slovenia.
In total, by 2025, Renault will release 7 electric car models on the market. One of them, by the way, will be another revived model – the Renault 5 hatchback.
