Production of the Cupra El-Born will be set up at a plant in German Zwickau – the same place where the Volkswagen ID.3 electric car is produced. The cars are built on the common MEB platform.

In terms of design, the new Cupra El-Born is very similar to the Volkswagen ID.3 and differs only in the styling of the front end and aerodynamic body kit. The top version will get 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior trim features copper-colored inserts – this is a signature of all Cupra models. The electric car gets a small virtual instrument cluster and a large 10-inch multimedia touchscreen.

According to preliminary data, the Cupra El-Born will be slightly more powerful than the top VW ID.3 (which has 204 hp at its disposal). It will be able to accelerate to 50 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.

It is also stated that the electric car will get a battery with a capacity of 82 kWh. Its range will exceed 500 km.
