Let's start with Mazda – this brand showed the public an electric version of the compact CX-30 crossover. The new model has fully inherited the design from the latter (the differences are minimal – the electric car is "decorated" only with more muscular wheel arches, side steps on the sills, and a protective "lip" under the front bumper). The technical characteristics of the electric car are not reported, but according to foreign media, the CX-30 EV (that's what the SUV is called) inherited the internals from the MX-30 electric vehicle: that is, it has one electric motor with 146 hp and 271 Nm, as well as a 35.5-kilowatt-hour battery.

The CX-30 EV is primarily aimed at the Chinese market, where sales of the crossover will start in the second half of this year. The car is not expected to appear in other regions.

As for Honda, nothing is known about the characteristics of its prototype – the SUV e:prototype – at all: for now, one can only be content with the appearance of the car (and it, by the way, objectively turned out beautiful). The company emphasized that the production version of the concept will see the light of day in 2022, and the main market for it will also be China. In total, Honda intends to flood the Chinese market with as many as ten new electric models over five years.
