The exterior of the updated Mazda CX-5 has undergone only minor changes, and the model is easily recognizable by its refreshed front end. The radiator grille has received a new three-dimensional pattern, and the headlights feature curved daytime running lights. In addition, the bumpers and rear lights have been updated.

Inside, there are even fewer changes, and the most noticeable one is the new front seats. There are also fresh interior trim options, and the drive mode selector has become different.

The powertrain lineup of the Mazda CX-5 for the 2022 model year remains unchanged. Customers still have access to naturally aspirated gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.0 liters producing 150 hp and 2.5 liters with 194 hp, and in some markets, a turbocharged 2.5-liter unit delivering 250 hp is also offered.

Key point: now all versions of the Mazda CX-5 will be equipped exclusively with all-wheel drive. In addition, the company will abandon front-wheel-drive modifications for its other crossovers as well.
