The Japanese publication BestCarWeb learned about this from its sources in Toyota's dealer network. It is noted that in March the company will give the green light to pre-orders for the Land Cruiser 300, while in May a price list with model specifications will appear. As for the SUV's premiere, it is scheduled for August.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 should replace the 200 model in the lineup, which has been produced for quite a long time – as many as 14 years. According to the latest data, the SUV will be built on the new TNGA modular architecture – this chassis is already used by the 4th generation Prius, the C-HR model, and the 8th generation Camry. At the same time, the car should retain its sturdy ladder frame and remain a classic SUV (there were previously concerns that the "Cruiser" would turn into a crossover).

As for engines, serious changes are expected – according to rumors, the car will lose the 4.6-liter V8, and instead it will have a hybrid setup with a 3.5 "six" as its base. It is expected that its power will be around 480 hp. In addition, the lineup will include a regular 3.5 engine with 415 hp, plus the appearance of a 3.3-liter turbo diesel is expected.

What the exterior of the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will look like is still unknown. In the photo above, you can only see the supposed design of the model (prepared by the same BestCarWeb site).
