Volkswagen Polo Harlequin was created by designers from the Netherlands. Like its famous predecessor, its body panels are painted in four different colors – yellow, blue, green, and red. Notably, two adjacent panels are always of different colors.

The idea to create the Volkswagen Polo Harlequin was born among the marketers of the German company after watching old Volkswagen Beetle videos. In the 70s, the Beetle was painted in this way for advertising.

It should be noted that it wasn't just the Polo Harlequin, as similar modifications in the 90s were also given to the Volkswagen Golf and New Beetle. From a technical point of view, they were no different from standard hatchbacks. Currently, rare Volkswagen Harlequin models are valued by collectors.
