As you can see, the test Fabia is still covered in camouflage, but it is already clear that its design will be done in the style of other new models of the brand - Scala, Kamiq and Octavia A8.

It is reliably known that the Skoda Fabia of the next, fourth generation will debut this year (as stated by the manufacturer itself). The current Fabia of the third generation was introduced in 2014, and in 2018 it underwent a facelift. In essence, the car is still fresh, but the appearance of a number of serious new models in the B-segment (new Renault Clio, Peugeot 208, Opel Corsa, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Yaris) forced the Czechs to take more radical steps.

The new Fabia will be built on the MQB A0 platform; with the move to the new chassis, the model will become larger, in particular wider, thanks to which it will get the most spacious interior in its class (with a larger trunk). In addition, the new model will boast improved sound insulation and richer equipment with a digital instrument panel and a new 9.2-inch multimedia screen.

As for engines, Skoda will bet on a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine in several power variants, which will be paired with 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes, as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch "robot". The car will also have other petrol engines with a "mild hybrid" system, but the smallest model of the Czech brand will most likely get rid of diesels.
