The production electric Skoda Peaq 90 covered 936 km without recharging. The seven-seat crossover drove from Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic through Germany to the coast of the Netherlands, averaging 9.2 kWh/100 km. Skoda Storyboard reports this.

Skoda employees Marek Jež and Jakub Krs took turns behind the wheel. The run started at noon on August 25. Initially, the route was to end in Amsterdam after about 850 km, but the energy reserve allowed it to be extended by about another 50 km to the coast near Zandvoort.

Skoda Peaq 90 set a record with a 91 kWh battery

A standard production Skoda Peaq 90 with a battery capacity of 91 kWh, of which 86 kWh are usable, was used for the run. The crossover is equipped with an electric motor producing 210 kW, rear-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels, and production tires with reduced rolling resistance.

Before the start, the car was not modified - only the charging port flap was additionally sealed. The record run was monitored by the certification organization TÜV Süd.

"Our goal was to demonstrate the capabilities of the technology at the edge of its potential. For the maximum possible range, we carefully selected the route and an appropriate driving style," said Jakub Krs.

Skoda electric car record recorded after 936 km without charging

The route was mostly laid along secondary roads with less traffic. The drivers maintained a steady speed, avoided sudden accelerations and braking, and controlled the intensity of recuperation. AI was also used when planning the route.

The Skoda Peaq finished the trip with a result of 936 km and consumption of 9.2 kWh/100 km. This is the longest recorded distance for the Peaq and a seven-seat electric SUV, as well as an official Czech record for electric vehicle range on a single charge.
