The key feature of the new flagship will be the E-Active Body Control chassis, which will combine Airmatic air springs and powerful hydraulic accumulators. The stiffness of the shock absorbers will be adjusted individually for each wheel, based on information from 20 sensors and a stereo camera. The data is processed by five multi-core processors with a frequency of up to a thousand operations per second.

The intelligent suspension will be able to tilt the body in corners, increase ride comfort when overcoming bumps, and also raise one side of the car before a potential side collision - the PRE-SAFE Impulse Side function is responsible for this.
In addition, the new S-Class will receive a rear-wheel steering system. This innovation will reduce the turning diameter of the long-wheelbase sedan by two meters at once. The chassis with all-wheel steering will be available in two versions: with a rear wheel steering angle of 4.5 or 10 degrees.

The equipment of the seventh generation model will also include an updated MBUX complex with machine learning elements, a central airbag and illuminated seat belt buckles.
The official premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class will take place on September 2.
