As part of the BMW Group Electric Days conference, the Bavarian manufacturer announced that production of the first 100 test prototypes of the model has already begun. The crossover is being produced under the strictest secrecy in closed-off areas of the BMW plant, inaccessible to the public.

Also, the first official photos of the iNext electric car were published, whose exterior is still hidden under camouflage. In addition, the company noted that in terms of dimensions, the new model will be comparable to the brand's "luxury sports cars," and the equipment list will include an autonomous driving function.
The range of the BMW iNext will be about 600 km, but more detailed characteristics of the electric crossover have not yet been disclosed.
