Subaru plans to fully electrify its model lineup by the end of 2035. Moreover, by 2030, electric and hybrid vehicles should account for 40 percent of total sales. By 2050, CO₂ emissions for new cars will decrease by 90 percent compared to 2010, with figures for electric vehicles taking into account indicators from the processing of primary energy sources.

At the same briefing, Subaru showed a mock-up of an electric crossover. Its exterior is based on the brand's current design language, while the technical content is being developed together with Toyota. The SUV will feature a boxy body with characteristic short overhangs and "chopped" wheel arches.
