The Subaru WRX 2022 teaser is darkened, but you can notice that it retains the characteristic wedge-shaped profile and hood scoop. Some design features were borrowed from the 2017 Subaru Viziv Performance concept car.

In many ways, the Subaru sports sedan is similar to its predecessor, but it is built on a completely new platform. It is also known that it will get a modern 2.4-liter gasoline turbo engine from the Subaru Ascent crossover.

In the Ascent, the flat-four develops 260 hp, but for the Subaru WRX the power will be raised to about 300 hp. The STI version will also remain in the lineup, and it will have about 400 hp at its disposal. It is also known that the all-wheel-drive sedan will retain a 6-speed manual transmission in the base version.
