The design of the Subaru WRX 2022 has become more aggressive – in the spirit of the Viziv Performance concept car. The exterior now features more sharp lines, and the wheel arches are more flared. There is no rear wing – it will only be available on the Subaru WRX STI.
The all-wheel-drive Subaru sedan is built on a completely new platform. It helped lower the center of gravity and increase body rigidity by 28%. The front fenders are now aluminum.
Inside, there is a huge 11.6-inch touchscreen. Among the options are Recaro sport seats with power adjustment and a Harman Kardon audio system with 11 speakers.
Under the hood of the Subaru WRX 2022 is a new 2.4-liter boxer turbo engine from the Subaru Ascent. The output, however, remains at the level of its predecessor – 271 hp and 350 Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT are available.
