For the first time, minivans feature the built-in FordPass modem technology, which turns the car into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot that can connect up to 10 different devices. It also can analyze the road using the "cloud" — the car receives information from various sources, and in case of danger, it warns the driver before the sensors or the person themselves notice it.

In addition, with this function, you can get data about the car's location and condition via a mobile app — for example, the system can monitor the fuel level and knows the date of the next oil change. You can also open and close the minivan doors from a smartphone.
The engine lineup now includes a more economical two-liter EcoBlue diesel with power ranging from 150 to 240 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that replaced the six-speed "robot" with two clutches.
