According to available data, the most powerful hybrid modification will be four thousand dollars more expensive than the standard gasoline version.
The lineup of Chevrolet Camaro powertrains will be expanded with a new four-cylinder turbo engine, familiar from the Silverado pickup, as well as two hybrid systems based on the 2.0 I4 and 6.2 V8 engines. As expected, the flagship hybrid will be sold with a markup of four thousand dollars relative to the regular version with an internal combustion engine.
The base versions of the muscle car will receive a turbocharged 2.7-liter engine, which is already used on the Chevrolet Silverado and, likely, will later appear under the hood of the "hot" crossover Cadillac XT4 V-Sport. This engine develops 310 horsepower and 472 Nm of torque. With such a unit, the Camaro reaches the first hundred (96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the current version with the previous "turbo four."
The less powerful hybrid system, built on the basis of a two-liter turbo engine, produces 370 horsepower and provides acceleration to 96 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The average fuel consumption of such a hybrid Camaro will be 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers. As for the hybrid based on the 6.2 V8 (from 461 to 552 horsepower), it is capable of accelerating to 96 km/h in 4.0 or 3.7 seconds depending on the version, and its fuel consumption will remain at 9.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
