As an example, the head of the Russian auto giant cites the compact hatchback Renault Kwid, which is available on the Indian market for a symbolic 4 thousand dollars. Given the fact that the Renault Nissan Alliance owns almost 70% of AvtoVAZ's shares, the release of a new ultra-budget model in the style of the Renault Kwid can be considered logical and justified.
"Such a car – good, beautiful, and cheap – the Renault concern made in India. And if it worked out in India, then I see no reason why not to make such a car in Russia," stated Nicolas Maure.

It should be noted that the Renault Kwid has the CMF-A platform and is offered in India with a 0.8-liter petrol engine producing 54 horsepower, paired with a manual gearbox. When a cheap Lada for 4-5 thousand dollars will appear (and whether it will appear at all), there is no information yet.
