Most of the technical characteristics of the new car remain behind the scenes for now — it is only known that the first working prototypes will appear by the middle of next year. According to rumors, the model will become the most powerful production supercar in history. The SSC prototype was shown to a narrow circle of buyers in California during the August Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, but the video of the demonstration has only now surfaced online.

According to preliminary data, the new hypercar from Shelby Supercars will receive a powertrain with an output of approximately 1300–1400 horsepower. With such an engine, the company expects to surpass the world speed record among production cars, which currently belongs to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport: its 1200-horsepower unit accelerates the coupe to 431 km/h.

The current generation SSC Ultimate Aero carries a 6.2-liter V8 with two turbochargers, producing 1183 horsepower. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and it was this model that held the speed record — 411 km/h — before the fastest Veyron appeared.

The exterior of the future hypercar is designed by designer Jason Castriota. Before working on this project, he collaborated with the studios Stile Bertone and Pininfarina, where he participated in the creation of such sports cars and concepts as the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Maserati GranTurismo, Ferrari P4/5, and Maserati Birdcage.

The estimated price of the new model will be approximately twice that of the current Ultimate Aero and will amount to 800–900 thousand dollars. The full premiere of the car is scheduled for this month, but the specific date of the show has not yet been announced.
