Today, orders for the Tesla Cybertruck are no longer being placed at the same pace as right after the pickup's premiere in 2019. Back then, within two days, the model had gathered 146 thousand pre-orders, and by the end of the first week, their number had reached 250 thousand.

Interestingly, buyers show the greatest interest in more equipped all-wheel-drive versions. The dual-motor modification, priced at 50 thousand dollars, accounts for 48% of all orders, while the three-motor variant at 70 thousand dollars was chosen by 44.5% of customers. Such a vehicle accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and can cover 800 kilometers without recharging.

The base single-motor rear-wheel-drive pickup, priced at 40 thousand dollars, is not in high demand. Only 7.5% of customers preferred it. Because of this, it was decided to postpone the start of production of this version relative to other trims. The company plans to launch Cybertruck assembly at the end of this year or in early 2022 at a new plant in Texas.
