The hero of this video was a Hyundai Elantra sedan. The driver lost his keys and couldn't open the car, so he turned to a locksmith for help. The specialist needed less than a minute to get inside the cabin.
First, he used an inflatable air wedge with a hand pump to widen the gap between the front door and the B-pillar (and this despite the door being closed).
Then he inserted a flexible metal rod into this gap, using it to reach the handle from the inside and open the door.
The lock itself was not touched, so after opening, the alarm immediately went off — which is quite expected. However, in this situation, it didn't matter, as this wasn't about theft.
For car manufacturers, such a video is more of a bad dream than useful advice: obviously, even in modern cars, the security system can be bypassed without expensive equipment.
