The abandoned KrAZ trucks were produced back in the Soviet era. These are heavy-duty off-road trucks KrAZ-255 and heavy mining dump trucks KrAZ-256. Both models were manufactured from the 1960s to the 1990s and were supplied not only to the Soviet republics but also to Europe, Asia, and even Africa. This was especially true for friendly socialist countries, which Poland was.

It is known that these KrAZ trucks were previously owned by the local company Franslaw, which is engaged in road construction, as well as earthworks and hydraulic engineering. Probably, the Kremenchuk trucks fell victim to the planned renewal of the company's fleet.

Judging by the photos, the vehicles are in satisfactory, or maybe even good condition – only small pockets of corrosion are visible on the bodies, and the equipment looks as if it is still in working order.

It should be noted that the KrAZ-255 and KrAZ-256 are three-axle trucks, but while the "six" has four driven wheels, the "five" has all six wheels driven. Both vehicles were equipped with a 14.9-liter YaMZ-238 engine producing 240 hp, a 5-speed manual gearbox with a 2-speed transfer case and a locking center differential.
