Most of the car production fell on passenger cars – 617 vehicles. Growth compared to last year – 3.6 times. Bus production also went into the plus – by 42%, totaling 85 units. But commercial vehicles went into the minus by exactly half – their indicator was only 2 vehicles, the UkrAvtoprom Association writes in its report.

However, if compared with production figures a month earlier (in June), car production in general slightly decreased in all segments – by 6%. But over the first seven months since the beginning of the year, growth compared to the same period last year was 2.5 times – 5,247 units.

By segments, the statistics from January to July 2021 look as follows:

  • passenger cars — 4,847 units ( 172%);
  • commercial — 19 units (-32%);
  • buses — 381 units ( 23%).

Interestingly, about half of the produced passenger cars from the specified number falls on those vehicles that are produced at the ZAZ plant. These are Lada family models, the Renault Arkana crossover, as well as a couple of Kia cars – the Rio sedan and the Rio X crossover. Besides ZAZ, we remind that passenger cars are also produced by the Transcarpathian plant Eurocar (Skoda cars).
