"Leonid Mikhailovich is a true business talent; they say he even managed to sell the 'Maybach' at a profit compared to its purchase price. The car, according to rumors, was listed in the charter capital of 'Pravex'," shared Kyiv City Council deputy Oleksandr Pabat. He heads the 'Street Racing' organization, so he is well aware of his colleagues' tastes in choosing cars.

The mayor's advisor Marta Grimska also notes that Leonid Mikhailovich hasn't been seen driving the 'Maybach' for a long time: "He travels in a Rolls-Royce and also has an armored 'cube' (referring to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class)." The price of a 'Maybach' starts from 600,000 euros, but as explained at the 'Automobile House of Ukraine', such cars are built individually. "Much depends on additional options and interior trim. The price could even reach a million, and over time these cars don't depreciate as quickly as others," noted a manager.

Leonid Mikhailovich's deputy has also decided to update her fleet. Irena Kilchytska parted with her 'Hummer' and now drives a Mercedes-Benz GL. Such an SUV will cost at least 100,000 euros. "This model is a pass into elite circles; the car can reach speeds up to 270 km/h," they say at the dealership. True, according to people close to Kilchytska, she rarely appears in the 'Mercedes' — she usually comes to work as deputy head in a 'Porsche' or a black 'Bentley' (Continental GT model).

There are rumors that the secretary of the Kyiv City Council, Oles Dovhyi, has also recently become the owner of a similar 'Bentley'. The minimum cost of such a car is 250,000 euros. "As far as I know, he takes the 'Bentley' out on weekends, and on weekdays he chooses a BMW 7 Series," shared an informed source at the mayor's office. However, Dovhyi's assistant could not confirm this. "I only see him in the 'BMW', but I don't rule out that on weekends he might use another car," stated Yuriy Khayich.

As for the deputy mayor Denys Bass, he apparently hasn't changed his car preferences. He drives a BMW Z8 and a couple of 'Mercedes' — an S-Class AMG and a GL AMG. The cost of such cars reaches 170,000 euros.

It turns out that the average cost of cars for Chernovetskyi's deputies is about 200,000 euros. With a salary of about 20,000 hryvnias, which deputies receive, they would have to save for such a car for 120 months, that is, 10 years (and that's assuming you live frugally, without spending on clothes and utilities).

However, not only government officials flaunt luxury, but also the opposition. Kyiv City Council deputy from the Klychko Bloc, Dmytro Andriyevskyi, drives a 'Bentley', and Vitali Klychko himself drives an impressive 'Range Rover'. "With my height, it's not easy to fit into a smaller car," explains Klychko.

Deputy from the Lytvyn Bloc, Olena Antonova, uses a Mercedes S-Class — in general, almost the entire composition of the Kyiv City Council drives such 'Mers'. The exception is the head of the GAK, Oleksandr Pabat. He comes to Kyiv City Council meetings in a 'Citroën' C6. His fleet also includes a 'Land Rover Defender', a 'Morgan', and a 1985 'Maserati', which took 7 years to restore. And also a racing Porsche 911 Turbo. In total, his entire fleet could be worth about a million dollars!
