This wave of price increases has also reached the retail trade. Fuel began to rise in price, and this was most noticeable for gasoline. According to monitoring data, the average price of A-95 fuel at gas stations rose by UAH 1.69 per liter, and diesel fuel by 57 kopecks. At the same time, autogas even fell slightly in price — by an average of 10 kopecks per liter.
On the wholesale market, gasoline rose by more than UAH 2/l, diesel by over UAH 4/l, and gas added about 60 kopecks. At the same time, the difference between wholesale and retail prices narrowed noticeably: for diesel fuel it decreased to almost UAH 6/l — this is the lowest indicator since the beginning of the year, for gasoline to UAH 7/l, and for autogas to UAH 6.10/l. Such a reduction indicates a decrease in profitability and a likely further increase in prices at gas stations.
Liquefied gas is not yet participating in active market fluctuations and even shows a decrease in price. Its price ratio to gasoline fell to 60.6% — a level not seen since October 2023.
Analysts expect that the upward price trend will continue. Gasoline still has room for price growth, and diesel has received a powerful impetus for an increase. If tension in the geopolitical situation of the region does not subside, risks for oil product prices will remain significant for Ukrainian drivers as well.
