Thanks to its hybrid powertrain and lightweight construction, this car shows extremely modest fuel consumption, which is rare for compact crossovers. There is also a one-pedal driving mode: when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator, the car slows down thanks to the energy recuperation system.

On the Japanese market, the Subaru Rex is offered from about 2 million yen, which is about 14 thousand dollars — an amount comparable to the starting price of the Renault Logan in many markets. The base trim includes LED headlights, keyless entry system, 16-inch wheels, climate control, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors. Among the safety systems are automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
Currently, the Subaru Rex is available exclusively in Japan, but its technical specifications and price may interest other markets, especially where economy and practicality in a small car are important.

Despite its modest dimensions, the hybrid Rex can compete with traditional inexpensive sedans and hatchbacks, offering convenience in urban conditions and minimal fuel costs.
