AutoPortal has compiled a rating of the TOP-5 most interesting homemade electric cars created in Ukraine. As a basis, we took information about these cars published on the forum club "Electro-AutoSam".

ZAZ 966 ElZAZ

One of the fastest Zaporozhets in the world. After this 966 (1971 model year) was equipped with an electric powertrain, it began accelerating to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds! The maximum speed is 155 km/h. The owner nicknamed his creation "Ugolyok".

Trabant E Drive

A legendary Trabant that the enthusiast equipped with a regular generator – with it, the car moves at low power, up to 2-3 kW. However, the inventor does not stop there and is already preparing a more powerful electric motor for the car.

Electric VW Transporter T3

One of the very first electric homemade cars in Ukraine, which the owner constantly improves. Most of the components for this Transporter came from the first-generation Nissan Leaf. And its charging is even cooler than that of the Japanese bestseller – 10 kW (instead of 3.3/6.6 kW).

A scaled-down electric copy of a KamAZ truck created for business needs. The car's power is 2.5 kW, so it did not have to be registered as a vehicle. At the same time, the electric truck has an excellent payload capacity – 1,000 kg. Such a KamAZ weighs only half a ton, the maximum speed is 50 km/h, and the range on a single charge is 100 km.

Initially, this Zaporozhets had a regular valve motor, but recently the owner installed a more productive drive from the first-generation Nissan Leaf (and the inverter, by the way, is homemade). The result is 4.9 seconds to 100 km/h!

Bonus: non-existent electric SUZUKI Carry

One of the most interesting homemade electric cars that, unfortunately, ceased to exist. The car's feature was a 3.6-kilowatt motor that directly spun the driveshaft. The gearbox was completely absent. The battery was based on batteries from an old Leaf. The output characteristics are also impressive: on a single charge, the Ukrainian electric Suzuki traveled up to 150-170 km, and the maximum speed was 90 km/h.

What happened to this car? Due to the crisis, the owner decided to sell it, converting it back to a gasoline car.
