Its name comes from Vision 2020, where the number denotes the year up to which the company's current model plan is calculated.

The car received a modern appearance, characterized by faceted lines, and the silhouette itself speaks of the crossover's sporty spirit. The pre-production model is built on the modular MQB platform. The length of the car is 4659 mm, and the wheelbase size is 2791 mm. The crossover's ground clearance is 228 mm.

Contrary to expectations, the first "parkette" from Seat turned out to be not compact, but mid-size. The interior is quite spacious, accommodating up to 5 people, and the trunk volume offers 600 liters.

The company has not yet decided on the engine lineup for the new model. However, the crossover is predicted to have petrol and diesel turbo engines with volumes from 1.4 to 2.0 liters, delivering up to 300 and 240 hp respectively. Power will be transmitted to all four wheels via 6- and 6-speed robotic DSG transmissions. Over time, a version with a hybrid powertrain will appear in the lineup.

Serial production of the crossover may be established as early as 2016 at the Skoda plant in Kvasiny, Czech Republic. True, there is no information on what the first SUV in Seat's history will be called and what its final appearance will be.
