At the same time, the plant's management has quite ambitious plans: in the near future, ZAZ plans to reach a production level of 10,000 cars annually, and in the long term, to double car production every year.

It should be noted that passenger car production at the ZAZ plant began in September 2020. Initially, models of the Lada family were put on the assembly line, and a little later the enterprise mastered the production of Renault Arkana crossovers. This year, the plant's portfolio was expanded with two Kia models – the Rio sedan and the Rio X cross-hatch. Cars are assembled from ready-made vehicle kits (the so-called large-unit assembly method).

In addition to the Zaporizhia Automobile Plant, passenger cars in Ukraine are also produced by the Transcarpathian plant Eurocar – it traditionally specializes in assembling Skoda models.

Whether ZAZ will be able to achieve its goals is hard to say. In a narrow sense, everything depends on consumer demand, in a broad sense – on the financial situation of Ukrainians. In other words, whether the country's residents can afford new cars, even if partially domestically produced. So, in our opinion, if the plant's plans are implemented at least halfway, it will already be a great success. At the same time, for the sake of fairness, it is worth noting that the Zaporizhia Automobile Plant still has the opportunity to become the flagship of passenger car production in Ukraine – currently its capacities are only 15% loaded. At least, that's what the enterprise's management assures.
