The Devel Sixteen hypercar has been in development since 2008, and its first prototype saw the light of day in 2013. The project has proven extremely challenging, and new difficulties constantly arise on the path to its realization.

The model is planned to be produced in three versions. Already the base version, priced at 1.6 million dollars, will be equipped with a twin-turbocharged two-liter V8 producing 2000 horsepower. For the 3000-horsepower variant, you will have to pay 1.9 million dollars.

The flagship modification, equipped with a 12.3-liter V16 with four turbos and an output of 5000 horsepower, will cost 2.2 million dollars. Such a car will be able to reach 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, and its top speed will reach 560-570 km/h.

It is this variant with the V16 that is currently undergoing testing in Italy, though for now without the turbos installed. Additionally, at the moment, engineers have encountered problems with the engine cooling system, which has become the main reason for the delay of the entire project.
