As is known, the "Police Officer in a Smartphone" (dashcamUa) application is already operating in test mode. It allows sending law enforcement officers video with a recorded traffic violation and the specified location.

Moreover, based on this data, the police are already fining drivers. Full anonymity is guaranteed to the authors of the videos.

To encourage conscientious citizens, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to award them bonuses. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko. To be more precise, video authors will receive 10% of the fine paid by the violator.

"If a driver sees someone running a red light, making a U-turn across a solid line, causing an accident and fleeing the scene, they can press the screen and the last 30 seconds of the recorded video will be sent to the police. Law enforcement officers, in turn, will have the right to draw up administrative protocols based on this video. At the same time, 10% of the fine amount will be received by the motorist who reported the violation," said Anton Gerashchenko.

Currently, this initiative is being prepared for legal formalization. The corresponding bill is already in development and will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in the near future.
