Interest in commercial electric vehicles has doubled over the year, while demand for passenger electric cars increased by 42 percent.
As before, the lion's share of electric cars added to the Ukrainian fleet consisted of used vehicles. Used vehicles accounted for 91% of all primary registrations of 'green' cars.
The greatest demand among electric vehicles was for used cars no older than five years. Such cars accounted for more than 52% of all registrations. Another about 39% went to vehicles older than five years, while new cars did not even reach 9 percent.
The absolute sales leader among passenger electric vehicles remains the Nissan Leaf. Over the past period, nearly 2.5 thousand Ukrainians acquired this model.
The second spot in the ranking is held by the Tesla Model S — over nine months, 435 such cars were transferred to Ukrainian plates.
The top three is rounded out by the BMW i3 with 276 registrations.
In fourth place is the Volkswagen e-Golf — 238 units.
The top five is completed by the Fiat 500e, which was preferred by 225 motorists.
Among commercial electric vehicles, the best result was shown by the Renault Kangoo Z.E. — 363 vehicles, equivalent to more than 90% of all sales in this market segment.
