Last year, the volume of gasoline imported into the country decreased by 9.5%, which in absolute figures amounts to 116 thousand tons, reaching 1,097 thousand tons. As before, Belarus remains the main supplier of imported fuel. In 2018, supplies of Belarusian gasoline to Ukraine decreased by 10.9% — by 102.4 thousand tons, stopping at the level of 836.5 thousand tons. At the same time, fuel imports from Lithuania over the same period increased by 7.6% (by 16.6 thousand tons) and amounted to 235 thousand tons. Supplies from other countries halved — from 56 to 26 thousand tons.

The list of main recipients of imported gasoline at the end of the year remained unchanged. The largest volume was imported by Galnaftogaz, which manages the OKKO filling station network — 314 thousand tons. The second and third places, as before, were taken by WOG and Amic with indicators of 235.3 and 68 thousand tons, respectively. BRSM-Nafta rose to the fourth position in terms of import volume, increasing purchases by 10.3% to 60.7 thousand tons. The fifth place was taken by Ukrpalletsystem (UPG gas station network) — in 2018 it received 52 thousand tons of gasoline versus 62 thousand tons a year earlier.

OKKO increased imports of Lithuanian fuel by 60% (by 23 thousand tons) in 2018, while reducing imports from Belarus by 18% (by 52.4 thousand tons). The company became the leader in gasoline imports from the Mazeikiai refinery, purchasing 60.1 thousand tons.

In 2017, WOG imported the largest volume of Lithuanian gasoline, but in 2018 it reduced these supplies by 16% (by 9 thousand tons), while increasing purchases in Belarus by 15%.
