Artem Kuyun, an expert at the Consulting Group A-95, stated that the results of the latest auctions of Ukrainian producers, as well as the conditions of import supplies, give reason to expect a decrease in prices at gas stations to an average of 12.6 UAH/t, if the networks maintain current loyalty programs for customers.
As the specialist explained, gas stations belonging to the premium price segment may lower the cost to 12.8–12.9 UAH/l instead of the current 13.50–13.99 UAH/l.
“In the LPG market in Eastern European countries, there has been a price increase recently, but this is a temporary phenomenon. With the arrival of warm weather, traders expect this trend to stop,” Kuyun added.
According to A-95 calculations, during the first twenty days of February, gas prices at the Belarus-Poland border gradually fell from $440 to $370, but already in early March, the cost of the propane-butane mixture rose again above the $400 per ton mark.
