The test prototypes had almost no camouflage, so the exterior details are clearly visible. Like its predecessor, the Mercedes G500 4×4², the ground clearance has increased, and portal axles and large off-road tires have appeared.

The roof of the G-Class also features a roof rack and additional lighting. The spare wheel remains at the rear.

Under the hood of the new Mercedes G500 4×4², the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 will remain. The exact engine specifications have not yet been disclosed, but in the standard G500 version it produces 422 hp, and in the G63 AMG — 585 hp.
Of course, the all-wheel drive is complemented by a low-range gear and differential locks. The price for the SUV in the extreme version starts at approximately $200,000.
