Albert Biermann, who heads the N Performance division responsible for creating "hot" modifications of the brand's cars, reported this.
"Currently, we are considering this option, and I cannot guarantee that such a car will not appear in the future. Much will be determined by the dynamics of our development. If we decide to immediately present a flagship 'hot' version, neither customers nor the dealer network may be ready for it. Nevertheless, I am convinced that over time we will create a top-level model for the C-class, and in that case, all-wheel drive will be indispensable," Biermann noted.
The debut work of the N Performance division will be the hot hatch i30N. The car will be equipped with a two-liter gasoline turbo engine, whose power will reach about 260 horsepower. In addition, a self-locking differential may appear in the list of options.
