The first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, spoke about plans to expand the network of traffic violation detection on his Facebook page. According to him, new devices will appear on highways in Zhytomyr, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions, as well as in Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, and Lviv. The systems will control speed limits: outside cities, the trigger threshold is exceeding 110 km/h, and in populated areas — 50 km/h.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs representative also named the exact installation locations of the equipment:
• Zhytomyr region (3 devices)
174 km + 600 of the M-06 highway towards Kyiv;
127 km + 246 of the M-06 highway towards Kyiv;
230 km + 853 of the M-06 highway towards Rivne.
• Chernihiv region (1 device)
113 km + 864 of the M-01 highway towards Kyiv.
• Odesa region (1 device)
465 km + 483 of the M-05 highway towards Kyiv.
• Zhytomyr (3 devices)
Chudnivskyi Bridge, towards Lech Kaczynski Street;
Chudnivskyi Bridge, towards Radivilivska Street;
Peremohy Street, 86, towards Mykola Stsiborskyi Street.
• Lviv (2 devices)
Khutorivka Street, 8, towards Stryiska Street;
Volodymyra Velykoho Street, 18, towards Stryiska Street.
• Cherkasy (4 devices)

It is worth noting that currently automatic violation detection does not work across the entire country — cameras are only in Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, as well as in Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Lviv, and Mykolaiv regions. The largest number of devices is concentrated in the capital, Kyiv and Lviv regions.
By 2024, Ukraine plans to deploy 1500 photo and video detection cameras.
