Racers will have to inspect the quality of the repair of the H-31 Dnipro-Reshetylivka road in the Dnipropetrovsk region (this road will connect Dnipro with Kyiv). The length of the new construction is 56 km, and 28 km of the route is currently ready.
Acting head of the road service in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksandr Kolomiytsev, noted in a media comment that the idea to test the repaired section of the road with racing cars arose before its commissioning. The goal is to test the road specifically at high speed.
Estonia racing cars are a series of racing cars developed in the USSR. Their maximum speed is about 250 km/h. Behind the wheel of the historic cars will be, in particular, professional pilots, champions of road racing Oleksandr Medvedchenko, Volodymyr Havrylenko, Viktor Povarov (they have participated in competitions since the 1970s).
The race will take place on August 19 on a section of the H-31 highway near the Dnipro-Western Donbas canal.
It should be noted that the Dnipro-Reshetylivka road is the largest object of the presidential program "Great Construction". Its feature is a concrete surface instead of the usual asphalt. This is the first road of this kind in Ukraine.
